It has a low contrast ratio that makes blacks look gray, and even though it has a local dimming feature, it performs terribly and causes blooming around bright objects.
Sadly, it's not a good choice for dark room gaming. It has an even better response time at 60Hz, but this is because it doubles the number of frames with 60Hz content for smoother motion. It has a fast response time at its max refresh rate that results in almost no motion blur, but there's overshoot in most transitions. It has an incredibly high 240Hz refresh rate, and motion handling is fantastic. Additionally, the 1440p resolution helps deliver crisp images on the large 27 inch screen.
Even if you have another PC or gaming console with an AMD graphics card, FreeSync also works on it.
It's an excellent gaming monitor, and if you have an NVIDIA graphics card, you can take full advantage of the monitor thanks to its native G-SYNC support. Unfortunately, the color gamut is over-saturated, which will bother you if color accuracy is important. It has low input lag and a quick response time for smooth motion. It also has great ergonomics in case you need to place your screen in different positions. However, that means it has wider viewing angles, and the image remains accurate when viewing from the sides.
It has an IPS panel with a lower contrast than the Samsung monitor. Although you won't get the same 240Hz refresh rate as the Samsung Odyssey G7 LC32G75T, it still delivers an excellent gaming experience with a 165Hz refresh rate.
